NPFL Oriental Derby: Fans attack Photo Journalist, Abdul Momoh, Steals Camera worth 1.3 million 

FIFA and CAF accredited photo journalist, Abdul Momoh has been attacked by irate fans who disrupted NPFL oriental derby, MD 35 between Rangers and Enyimba at Enugun stadium on Sunday evening.


Abdul Momoh who is the current ex officio two of Kwara SWAN spoke to Ayodeji Ismail via phone around 9pm Sunday night, confirmed that the ugly incident happened immediately  fans encroached the pitch after the centre referee awarded a penalty to Rangers in the added minutes of the tension soaked cracker.  

Momoh added that his camera has been severely damaged and lens stolen by the suspected miscreants who disguised to have  came to watch the match.


He said the matter has been reported to the nearest police station and to SWAN Chairman, Enugun Chapter.


It would be recalled that Abdul Momoh was in Uyo last Friday to cover world cup qualifier between Nigeria and South Africa and also landed in Enugun to report NPFL oriental derby between Rangers and Enyimba.
