Kolawole Sheriff excited with Emalex FC promotion to the NNL


The goalkeeper of Emalex FC of Owo in Ondo State, Kolawole Sheriffdeen has expressed his delight over the  promotion of his club to the Nigeria National League. 

Emalex defeated Cynosure FC 4-2 on penalties in the NLO One final play off to pick the promotion ticket 

The young goalkeeper played a vital role in the club's success with his impressive performance earning them important wins through to the promotion. 

The former ABS FC safe hands kept four clean sheets in seven matches for the Ondo State based side. 

"I am happy with the promotion ticket to the NNL. It's a collective effort from everyone and the success came through from our determination. 

The Barrier Football Academy graduate also noted that he will put in more effort to justify the confidence reposed in him as they head into Nigeria's second tier league. 

"I want to prove myself again in the NNL and move to NPFL or Europe. That's my target" said the Ilorin-born goalkeeper who thanked the CEO of the club, Temitayo Micheal Oladipupo and coach Ademisoye Roland Ajayi

Kolawole's modest experience, good reflexes, discipline and good coordination within the sricks stand him apart from other young goalkeepers. 

He has been tipped by those who followed the Division one Nationwide League One(NLO) 2023/2024 campaign as one of the best in the league and a goalkeeper for the future.

Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
