Teams Battle for Glory as Ibidoyin Aina's Cup Takes Center Stage in Lagos
All is set for the inaugural Ibidoyin Aina's Cup in Lagos, scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at the National Stadium in Surulere.
According to the event schedule released by the organizers, the program will commence at 10 am with an opening prayer, followed by a welcome address from the convener, Ibidoyin Aina.
The first match will see Wazbak Queens take on Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens, followed by a clash between FC Phoenix Queens and Papa Queens FC in the second game.
Goodwill messages will serve as an interlude before the third-place playoff and the final match. The event will culminate with the presentation of medals and awards, celebrating the football artistry displayed by the participants.
The event will be graced by prominent football stakeholders in Lagos State, led by the Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), Alhaji Liameed Olawale Gafar, among others.
The event is proudly partnered with Manuelking Sports Marketing, Gorah Healthcare, Inspire Marketing, LSFA, and Olukayode Aina and Co.
This one-day tournament has been organized to spotlight and celebrate the burgeoning talent of female footballers in Nigeria. It is the brainchild of Ibidoyin Aina, a prominent legal practitioner and former footballer, who has decided to use this competition as an opportunity to give back to society.
