Excitement as Gaa Akanbi FC celebrates third year anniversary with a title 



One of the fast rising football outfits in Ilorin, Kwara State, Gaa Akanbi FC has celebrated its third year anniversary.

The celebration came in grand style as the club won the Alangua Opolo football tournament- the 15th trophy in the club's history.

Speaking on the development, The technical Adviser of the club, Coach Abolarinwa Bashir thanked the management, players, fans and supporters of the club for upholding its values and standards. 

Stressing that determination, focus and committment has bright the club thus far, he stated that the club will not relent in its oars in helping footballers realize their dreams.

"We are happy to be celebrating our third year anniversary with a title. It's our 15th trophy in the history of the club and this can only be possible by the grace of Almighty God.

" I want to thank the management, players, fans and supporters of the club for their commitment.

Coach Bashir who is also the Chief Coach of the Injector FC of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital also thanked the partners and sponsors of the club.

"We couldn't have also come this far without the support of our partners like Sages Management, Bespoke Luxury Homes and La Planet Sport Academia for believing in our dream.

Within few years of its existence, Gaa Akanbi FC have been able to catalyse football development at the grassroots level.

The club has been able to produce players who are now plying their trade at home and abroad
