Lagos-based FC Robo Queens would have Ijamilusi Folashade to thank as her lone goal helped them secure an important point away from home in their matchweek 8 games against Rivers United.

Folashade received a through pass from Esther Onyenezide, dribbled her marker finished off with a shot from the range with her left foot into the net to the admiration of fans and supporters alike at the Yakubu Godwin Stadium in Port harcourt. 

Her performance is coming on the heels of her feat as the NWFL player of the month of December where she edged three other nominees to win the coveted award alongside her Coach Emmanuel Osahon who won the coach of the month. 

"I am really excited to have scored the goals. It means a lot to me and the team.Our target remains to finish well and also win the league. We understand what this takes and we will continue to work towards it.

Ijamilusi's prowess on the field is nothing short of remarkable. Throughout December, she consistently showcased her skill, determination, and leadership, inspiring her team to greater heights. 

She is also reputed for having the ability to dictate the pace of the game, create scoring opportunities, and deliver under pressure.

Ijamilusi has now scored seven goals for Robo Queens in the league and hopes to score more. 

"I want to score more goals for my team. It's still a team work and I have enjoyed the best of camaraderie with my colleagues" said the NWFL sensation who looks forward to a National call up.
