Makamz FA emerges champions of YEG U15 tournament with unbeaten record 


Players and officials of the Makamz FA were all in cloud nine on Saturday after emerging the winners of the YEG U15 Championship.

The team defeated Koller FA 5-4 on penalties after playing 1-1 draw in the regulation time of the final played at the Kwara Football Academy on Saturday to mark the 60th birthday of the sponsor of the league, Mr.Olalekan Olayonu.

Makamz Boys drew only one out of their games in the proper season and also impressed in the super four. 

Speaking after the final, the founder and Head Coach of Makamz FA, Oniye Muhammed expressed his delight over the achievements. 

"I'm very happy that we are the champions. This is what we have been working for, for a very long time not only me including the players and we believe this is our year and we believe something big is coming our way".

"Though it is not coming as a surprise because we know we deserve to be the winner, we're the league leader before the play-off

"I dedicate this trophy to Almighty Allah and parents if not them I can achieve this" said Coach Oniye.

Makamz FA boasts of different cadres of players from U12, U14 and 15. The team in its commitment to develop the players are also participating in organized leagues and competitions for all the cadres of their players.

The YEG U15 league was powered by Kinkon Sports Global under the leadership of Mr. Olayonu.
