NNL: Mudashiru Olamide scores two free kicks to help Osun United crush FC One Rocket
A second half brace from Mudashiru Olamide was all Osun United needed to secure a 2-0 victory over visiting FC One Rockets in Osogbo on Saturday.
Osun United had dropped tangible points at home after drawing their last two home games- a situation which has resulted in a floating pressure within the ranks of the team.
The victory against FC One Rockets has definitely pulled up a relief within the Omoluabi Giants camp as they head into the frist round break.
Speaking about the goal, Mudashiru expressed his delight in scoring a brace that ultimately eased out pressure in his team.
The Kwara-born left back stepped up and masterfully fired in a free kick in the 53rd minute of the game. He would later cap up his impressive performance when he deployed his set pieces skill to score another one in the 89th minute, thus putting the game beyond the visitors.
"I am very happy about the goals. It was a great moment for my career and i definitely want to score more to help my team.
"Our target remains qualifying for the NPFL and we will continue to work on it.
Olamide is a great left back with an acute sense of goal scoring. He joined Osun United at the beginning of the new season after a stint at Benin Republic top side, last season.
He had previously played for Kwara United and ABS FC in Ilorin.
