In a statement on Monday, Abdulrasheed called on the Christians to pray for the development and peace  of the country.

"We send our best wishes to the Christian faithfuls. I urge them to use the occasion of this period to pray for the development of this country.

"We should also reflect on the teachings and values of the festival in order to drive a better society.
