Football scouts arrive in Ilorin for Kwara scouting tournament





Patrick Kempeneers, Head of Youth scouting, Westerloo FC, Belgium and Abdulrahman Kurdieh, a FIFA Intermediary have both arrived in Ilorin for the Kwara scouting championship. 

The 3-day scouting championship is organised by Kwara Football Academy in conjunction with Global football scouting tournament.

Both scouts, led by the CEO of Valiant FC,Japhet Zubair were received by the officials of the  Kwara Football Academy (KFA) at the Ilorin International Airport on Thursday.

According to the Technical Director KFA, Coach Sam Elijah (MON) a total number of 8 teams will participate in the tournament that seeks to provide opportunity for young and talented footballers.

He stated that the scouting programme is a reflection of the Academy and its partners' commitment to help footballers realize their dreams.
"Some of the players here will have the opportunity to be seen and selected by these scouts who are ready to connect them to Europe and other parts of the world" he said. 

The scouts also paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the commission, Coach Bola Mogaji in his office upon their arrival.

Participating teams include  two KFA teams(KFA Yellow and U-17) , La Planet Sport Academia, Abraysports FC, Dickalo FA, Destiny FC, Saki United, and Elite Athletics. 
The tournament which kicks off on Thursday will end on Saturday, December 9,2023.

The scouting programme continues tommorow with another round of four matches.
