Osun Babes FC Confers Alhaji Olayiwola Olafiranye with Club's Patron, Decorates him with Award of Excellence in Sports Development

It was a beautiful investiture ceremony today as Alhaji Olayiwola Olafiranye was conferred as the Patron of Osun Babes FC.

Alhaji Olayiwola Olafiranye also received an Award of Excellence in Sports Development.

In her investiture speech, the Chairperson of the club, Mr Tola Usman highlighted numerous reasons why Alhaji Olafiranye is worthy to be the patron of the team.
"Alhaji Olayiwola, you are one of the pillars of sports in Osun State due to your philanthropic gesture towards the development of sports in the state. You have been a wonderful man over the years.

"You have always been lending your shoulders for Osun Babes FC to lean on over the years. You have been a source of support to the team. Hence, we found you worthy to be our patron."

"We know that with you as our patron, the team will be in the right direction and we would always have your support both financially and morally," Usman told the award recipient.

In his own remarks, the Director of Sports, Coaching and Training, Mr Ademola Daini said that he knows that Alhaji Olafiranye will surely complement the efforts of the state government to take Osun Babes FC forward.

"We know that the state government under the able leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke and his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi are doing their possible best for sports development but the government can not do it alone. Hence, the need for private partnership.

"Alhaji Olafiranye is in the best position to complement the states government's effort in assisting Osun Babes FC," Daini noted.

In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Olayiwola Olafiranye said that he feels so honoured to be counted worthy being named as the patron of Osun Babes FC.

He said, "I must be sincere with you that this is a big honour for me. You are conferring on me a big position."

"I want to assure you that I will do my best to support the team in any way I could. Osun Babes FC is our team and it is our collective responsibility to move the team forward," added Alhaji Olafiranye.

In their separate remarks, the Club's Secretary, Mrs Ronke Ogunbanwo and the Team Manager, Mr Wole Animasahun thanked the new patron while promising to work with him for the betterment of the club.
