Aare Musbau reveals secret behind Offa Sports Village Project, reiterates committent to society development 



The Aare Bobajiro of Offa land, Aare Musbaudeen Olaniyi Olalekan has stated that the rationale behind Offa Sports Village Project was to drive sports development and empowerment in the ancient town.

Chief Olaniyi, who is an ardent grassroots sports promoter said that the project, when completed will raise the bar of sports development and also add value to the town.

Speaking to journalists after cheering Kwara United to a 2-0  victory over Gombe United in Ilorin on Sunday, he noted he has, aside other supporting other sporting activities, he has also taken it upon himself to have a football club in other to help the youths. 


"As a football player myself, I think it's important to support grassroots sport and that's why I have taken it upon myself to have a football club and I have been supporting other sporting activities as a way of contributing to the development of the society"

"Currently we are building a sports village in Offa. It's not just for football. It is also for other sports like volleyball where I have a passion. 

"There is lawn tennis, table tennis and seven- aside football pitch. We also have recreational facilities attached to it," he said.
 
The Chief Executive Officer of Print Best Nigeria Limited also expressed his delight at the success of Offa Volleyball Club at the just concluded 2023 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League in Abuja on Sunday.

The Lagos based business mogul revealed that volleyball players from Offa have gained employment into the military and paramilitary organisation through their performances.

"I was so happy when I heard the news of Offa Volleyball Club winning against the NSCDC of Abuja. It is a good one for the team winning the volleyball league back to back.

"It is no longer a secret that Offa is the home of volleyball in Nigeria and the community has produced lots of stars. I want to commend the coach of Offa VC, Suleiman Ajeigbe for doing a wonderful job.
 
"We have some of our players playing in the different categories in the national team. Some of the players like Abdulquadri Jayeiola and Oyewale Oyedepo are playing their trade outside Africa.

"Through the game, some of the players have gained employment into the Nigeria Customs Service and the Nigeria Navy," the philanthropist said
