NYG ASABA 2023: Kwara contingent will go for gold- Mogaji 


Kwara state Sports Commission athletes are set to go for the challenges as events are about  to kick start in the seventh National Youth Games which got underway in Asaba.

To herald the competitions is today's opening ceremony scheduled start by 1 pm this afternoon in the main bowl of the Stephen Keshi stadium.

The screening exercise has been concluded yesterday and six  Kwara state athletes were  screened out for one or the other reasons but the Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji said the rest of the athletes are mentally  and physically prepared  for the challenges.

Mogaji expressed optimism that it will not deter the other athletes from fighting for medals to better the seventh position of the previous edition.

He added that the athletes will go for Gold and make the state proud.
