NAKSS Convention: Mahmud Rukayat Omonike Gains Support from 'Alibaba of NANS'

In a resounding show of support for visionary and competent leadership in Kwara State, Comr. Alli Abdulmujeeb Babatude, affectionately known as the "Alibaba of NANS," has thrown his weight behind the promising candidacy of Mahmud Rukayat Omonike, popularly known as "M.R.O💪." Omonike is vying for the position of President at the National Association of Kwara State Students National Headquarters (Nakss).


Alibaba of NANS, a well-respected figure in Kwara State's Ilorin West Local Government Area, Baboko Ward, believes that it's high time for a leader who genuinely cares about the welfare of Kwara State students. In a statement endorsing Omonike, he highlighted the need for a vibrant, capable, and bold leader, echoing the sentiments of many who yearn for inclusive governance.


Mahmud Rukayat Omonike's journey of leadership began from her early school days, where she held positions of responsibility, including Assistant Head Girl at Istijabah Nursery and Primary School and Furniture Prefect at Government Girls Day Junior & Senior Secondary School Oko Erin.


Omonike's educational journey continued at Kwara State College of Arabic Legal Studies, where she embarked on a three-year course Law. Subsequently, she is currently undergoing study for a degree in History and International Studies at the University of Ilorin, currently in her 300L.


Notably, Omonike's leadership experience speaks volumes about her capabilities, having served as Chief Justice of the National Association of Kwara State Student (NAKSS) CAILS Chapter (2017-2018), Honourary Vice President of the Igbomina Students Union, CAILS Chapter (2017-2018), and General Secretary of the Law Students Association, CAILS Chapter (2017-2018). She also took on the role of Speaker in the League of Presidents, CAILS Chapter, during the same period.


In addition to her academic and leadership pursuits, Omonike has demonstrated her commitment to community service by being an Ambassador of Ilorin Emirate Students Union for the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ilorin and actively participating in various organizations, including Space for Her, Sustyvibe, Raise Community, and the Bulelily Environmental Empowerment Initiative, where she contributed to environmental cleaning efforts on June 10.

As the Nakss Nhqs convention approach, Omonike's candidacy gains momentum with the support of a respected figure like Comr. Alli Abdulmujeeb Babatude, further reinforcing the belief in her ability to lead with vision, competence, and inclusivity.
