Ajilete Football League ends in style as Masifa United Emerges the Maiden Edition Champion

After 10 weeks of Abridged league matches, the Ajilete Football League season one was down to the Super 4. With Masifa United, Taraa Rovers, Favour FC and Romeo FC emerging the qualifiers from their respective group.  

The Super 4 kicked off inside the Soun Township Stadium saw Romeo FC with the early advantage after beating Favour FC by 3 goals to 1 and the Game between Taraa Rovers and Masifa United ending in a barren draw.  

The Match Day two saw couple of changes on the log and new directions to where the title might go at the end of the day. Masifa United have to wait till the 89th mins to get a win against Romeo FC with an over head kick goal from Emmanuel Nana, to send Masifa United too of the log with 4pts. The second game saw Taraa Rovers with an early goal against favour FC only to concede a late equalizer in the 90th mins with goal from Ubakama Peter.  

With the results of the match day 2, the title decider will have to be on the final day where Masifa United table topper will host bottom of the table Favour FC and Taraa Rovers will face second place Romeo FC

The final day was full of funfair entertainment as Football administrators, Journalists, Artists from all round of Ogbomoso and the neighboring states made it to the Soun Township Stadium for the grand finale, Representative of the immediate Past Minister for Youths and Sports Hon Sunday Day the AgbaAkin of Ogbomoso land the Official sponsor of the League, Manager and staffs of Cecil place event center in Ogbomoso all made it to the Grand finale.  The first game of the day was a close one between Masifa United whom a win will made them champion against Favour FC, Masifa has to wait until the 75th mins to get a win from Azeez Taofeek with The Young goalkeeper from Favour FC Ahmed Azeez putting up a man of the match performance.  The game ended 1-0 with Masifa been Champion with 7pts leaving the second game for all to fight for to get Second position.   Taraa Rovers with 2 pts scored in the 45secs to get the first goal but Romeo FC equalized few minutes later. Taraa Rovers scored again but we're made to pay for their errors with Salaudeen Samad scoring twice to give Romeo FC a 3-2 win and finish second on the log.  

Individual awards where give out, as Ahmed Azeez emerges as best goalkeeper, Salaudeen Samad winner the Highest goal scorer with 6goals and also the league MVP, Dr Amoo Abraham named the Best Coach from Taraa Rovers. The first runner up Romeo FC went home with a 100,000 and Masifa United pocketed 150,000 as the Champion of the league.  

Hotkey reign entertain the fans with some good music as fans ignore Arsenal vs Manchester united to watch the best of grassroots football.

Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
