Laycon FA Chairman delighted with win over NPFL All Stars 


The Chairman of Laycon FA,Yusuf Abdulqudir Olalekan has expressed his delight over the victory of his boys over the NPFL All Stars.

Laycon FA, an NLO Division side came from behind to get  a deserving 2-1 victory over the NPFL Stars in the opening game on Monday.

It's a great display of soccer artistry from the Offa based side who proved their worth in the face of the cheering crowd.

Despite a goal down, Laycon FA boys kept on pushing and got the equaliser through David John's effort.

The game reached its climax when Moshood Olaniyan turned in a penalty in the dying minutes to give the ultimate victory to his side. 

The Chairman, commended the technical crew and the players for their great performance and urged them to keep it up.

"I am very happy about the result. Our boys were really determined and kept their heads throughout the game. It's a deserving victory for us and I am happy about that.

"They should keep the momentum going in the second game because our target is to go far in the tournament and win it.

Laycon FA will face off with Gateway FC at 4pm on Tuesday.
