Mouth-watering prize money up for grab as Chris Olatunji football competition enters second round 

The second round of the Chris Olatunji will get underway on Wednesday, June 21 amid fanfare and great display of soccer artistry.

According to the Cordinator of the tournament, Coach Bashir Abolarinwa, the teams are really motivated by the prize money at stake even as he noted the fact that they have given a good account of themselves since the tournament began a few weeks.

While noting that the sponsor of the tournament directed that no team should pay registration money, he stated that the sponsor in his magnanimity has approved a sum of N150,000 as prize winner of the tournament, N50, 000 for the first runners-up and N20, 000 for the third place winner.

The NIS certified Coach added that the tournament is also serving as opportunity to discover a lot of talents. 

The competition which started with 44 four teams and eight teams will now resume hostilities tomorrow when the second round  begins tomorrow.

Two matches are expected to go down on Wednesday as Barrier FA will be taking on GG FA at 4pm and Royal FC will do battle with Alfa FC at 5pm.

On Thursday,June 22,  Ganmo FC will play against Osjack FC by 4pm while Superlion FC will be trading tackles with Ajulo FC at 5pm.

The second round will be concluded with matches involving Waziri FC and Aromokeye FC at 4pm on Friday June 23 and Harvard FC against Makamz FC on the same day by 5pm.

While all the second round matches and advance stages will take place at Bishop Smith Secondary School,Ilorin, the final of the tournament will be held at the Kwara Football Academy pitch.
