Gaa Akanbi FC completes trial for players, unveils new jerseys
Gaa Akanbi FC of Ilorin has unveiled new sets of jerseys for its players after completing an open trial exercise.
In a statement signed by the Technical Adviser of the club, Coach Bashir Abolarinwa,revealed that the management of the club has also ordered a break for the players in a bid to allow them participate in the general elections.
"We have distributed new training jerseys to the player after an open trials for players that came all over Kwara State.
"We have also ordered a break for the players in order to allow them participate in the elections and resumption date will be communicated to the players soon"
The National Institute of Sports (NIS) certified Coach also further expressed his satisfaction with the set of newly recruited players and believes that they will add value to the Club's set up.
"No fewer than five players left the club and we believe the need to recruit new and capable players which we have now done"
Among some of its players who have now taken their career to the next level are Abefe Faruq to Shootings Stars of Ibadan, Mohammed Soliu to Sudanes club, Noah Kehinde to an Egyptian second division team, Abubakar Ibrahim to a France , 3rd division club and Ibrahim to Stationary Stores FC.
He described the development as a progress for the club and added that it will continue to work hard to create more opportunities for the players.
