Gaa Akanbi FC rolls out plans for 2023, set to create more opportunities for players
The Technical Adviser of Gaa Akanbi FC, Coach Bashir Abolarinwa has expressed the readiness of the team to achieve more in the year 2023.
While speaking to Journalist in Ilorin on Tuesday, the certified football tactician who is also the Assistant Coach of the NLO side Injector FC reiterates the commitment of the team to create opportunities for its players in their bid to maximize their talents.
"We thank Almighty God for what we have achieved so far. For the new year, we are ready to do more especially on the areas of creating opportunities for our players so that they can excel in their career".
Speaking about Faruq Abefe who has just teamed up with Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, he described his move to the Premier league side as a motivation to the team.
"Faruq Abefe's signing means a lot to Gaa Akanbi FC as a family. Though,we have Players that have signed up for clubs outside Nigeria, but for a young and talented player like Abefe to get a chance to showcase his talent in a big club like Shooting Stars is a thing of pride to us"
He further appreciated Coach Gbenga Ogunbote for giving the player an opportunity to grow and get exposed.
Among many of Gaa Akanbi FC players who are now making waves in professional clubs in Europe include Soliu Mohammed who plays in Sudan's second division league, Noah Tekunbi in Egpyt second division league and ibrahim Abubakar in France.
"We will continue to work hard to bring the team together, add more trophies to the 12 we have in our cabinets already and also push for more players to move to big clubs this season" the Coach concluded.
