Bola Black Football Championship to kick off January 20
The maiden edition of Bola Black Football Championship has been scheduled to kick off on Friday, January 20.
According to the Chief Organiser, Coach Akeju Olanrewaju, the tournament is aimed at celebrating the achievements of the Pioneer Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Adisa Magaji who has changed the fortunes of Sports development for good in the State.
While assuring all the participating teams of standard tournament, the certified football Coach promised commensurable prizes for the winners, outstanding players and officials.
Speaking on behalf of the Kwara State Sports Commission Chairman, the Administrator of Kwara Football Academy, Mallam Ibrahim Bako assured the organizers of a total support in their bid to deliver a worthy tournament.
"The Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission is very proud of your initiative and has promised to give all the necessary support to achieve succces in the tournament"
Bako described that the tournament is a shared resolve with the focus of the present administration under Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq who has invested heavily in the development of youths in the State through which crimes and criminalities are reduced in society.
Some of the guests at the draws include the Chairman of the Professional Football Association of Nigeria (PFAN ) Kwara State Chapter, Coach Ashifat Sulyman, Head of the Media of Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Yusuf Feruke, former Kwara United Assistant Coach Taofeeq Babatunde and a host of others.
Participating teams include Okaa Sports FC,
Kwara Football Academy, Young Talent Ogbondoroko, Olasco FC, Harmony FC and Alagbado FC all in Group A.
Group B has La Planet Sport Academia, Super Striker FC, Barrier Football Academy, Isale-Oja United,Young Talent FA and Dickalo FC.
Debby FC,Young Atlas FC, Elite FC, Future Star FA, Raymond FC, Makamz/Achievers FA will all be doing battles in Group C.
In group D, Petvic Soccer College, Giwa FC, Santos FC, International FC Greater Tomorrow FC and Dream Makers FC will also be locking horns against each other for the ultimate prize.
All the matches are scheduled to take place at the Football field of the College of Arabic, Islamic and Legal Studies (CAILS).
The opening match of the competition will involve Okaa Sports and Young Talent Ogbondoroko on Friday, January 20 at 4pm
