House of Prayer FA battles Young Atlas for trophy as Kay Cup final holds on Monday 




Curtain will fall on the fourth edition of the Kay Cup Football tournament on Monday, December 19 when House of Prayer FA and Young Atlas FC battle in the final match.

The final, which will be preceded by the third place play off by 1pm on Monday will hold at the Kwara Football Academy.

The 2020 edition winner, Barrier FA who were denied a final spot in this year's edition by Young Atlas will be facing Okaa Sports FC in the third place final that is being regarded as a local derby encounter.

Speaking ahead of the event, the facilitator of Kay Cup, Kolawole Jeremiah Coker disclosed that all is set for a colourful final event.

"We have concluded the plans to have a beautiful event. Everything has been set and I can tell you that it's going to be a memorable final match" he noted.

Marazina Coker as he is fondly called added that, apart from the family of the late Olukayode Atoyebi who will be on ground at the event, he revealed that the final game would also be witnessed by top football stakeholders in the State.

A total number of 16 teams registered and participated at the tournament which was organised to honour the memory of late Olukayode Atoyebi,  a football enthusiast and philanthropist of note.

The competition is being sponsored by Olukayode Atoyebi foundation. The final match will kick off at 3pm at Kwara Football Academy Pitch.
