Corp member awards students for achieving outstanding results in exam




A serving NYSC member, Abbas Abdulwasiu has presented awards to students of his PPA for achieving outstanding results in their examination.

The corp member who is a graduate of Estate management from the Kwara State polytechnic in Ilorin hopes that the award will spur the students to do more in their academic pursuits.

"I decided to present the awards to the students as a form of encouragement to them. I believe the need to invest in the human capital development in order achieve a better society we all hope for " he said.

Abdulwasiu is currently having his mandatory one year service at the Islamic College, Ogbomoso, Oyo State is a member of Batch B stream 1.

One time S.A media and publicity Secretary to the SUG President of Kwara State Polytechnic, Abdulwasiu has held several other leadership positions among which is the Speaker of Yoruba Youth Development, Mokwa, Niger State, two term President of Kainji Junction Social Club in Mokwa and host of other responsibilities.

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
