Sulyman Qodri joins Niger Republic elite league side, targets continental ticket
Sulyman Abdulqodri has revealed that his ultimate target with his new team is to secure a continental ticket for the club.
The shot stopper who joined Espoil De Zinder of Niger Republic Super league recently for the new season on a year deal hopes to use the club as a launch pad for a greater heights.
"My target with the effort of my teammates is to push the club to continental next season because the team ended up 5th position last season and we want to do better this time around" said the Ilorin-born safe hand.
Qodri ,who last kept for Stationery Stores FC in the Nigeria third tier league also spoke on keeping cleansheet in his debut for the club in their goalless draw with Sahel SC.
"It was my first game last week Saturday and I am happy to have achieved the cleansheet. I would like to thank my teammates for supporting me and I know we can do more for the team" an excited Qodri said.
Espoil De Zinder will square up against Nigelec SC on Saturday in the week three of the league.
"We are playing against a top side tomorrow, Nigelec SC. It's definitely going to be a tough game but we're ready for the task". He said.
Espoil are currently 12th on the log of the 14-teams tied league.
