Kwara U-12 YEG League gets kick off date as organiser greets Muslims on Eid-el-Kabir festival




The organizer of Kwara U-12 YEG League-The League Board  has announced the date for the commencement of maiden edition of the kiddies league, greets Muslims on Eid-el-Kabir celebration. 



The Kwara U-12 YEG League is a proponent of proper grassroot development with a deliberate effort to engage the kids and promote the development of football with attention to details . 


With twelve grassroot teams already registered for the foundation league, the organizer  has announced Saturday, 23rd of July,2022 as the date for the commencement of the league. 


According to Chief Operating Officer of the League Board Ibrahim Jatto , the essence of the league is to give basis to the development of football in Kwara State. 


He also stated that the league will introduce and prepare the youngsters to the rigors faced by professional footballers beyond organising a one off tournament. 


In his remark, the President of Young Elite Group (YEG) Jubril Usman praised the league Board who are in charge of the day to day running of the league  for the ideas, efforts during the screening and registration process.


He, however, urged all participating teams to conduct themselves and play by the rules of the league .Jubril also use the medium to wish Muslims happy Eid Kabir celebration and urged the faithfuls to reflect on the lessons of the Eid.



The Kwara U-12 League is a two-legged tournament that will be played at the Kwara Football Academy. 


The competition will feature teams from five Local Government Areas (Ilorin East, South, West Ifelodun, and Asa) of Kwara State.
