Kwara Female Cricket Players Shine In Rwanda
The duo of Rukayat Abdulrazaq and Rachael Samson on different match occasion scooped the best bowlers award in the just concluded Kwibuka Elite championship in Kigali.
Nigeria Women’s senior team A.K.A Female Yellow Greens clinched 5th position at the tournament where they recorded a 3 straight victories against Brazil, Germany and Botswana but had it stormy against Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania- thus making them to leave the tournament on the balance.
Rukayat Abdulrazaq on her debut for Nigeria against Brazil stole the show with an impressive bowling statistics of 4 wickets, conceding 9 runs in 3.2 overs- earning her the man of the match award in the game.
Samson Rachel was also the cynosure of eyes in the Nigeria vs Germany's match where she had 4 bowl, over 13 runs and 4 wickets to grab the man of the match award in the game.
The Kwibuka tournament in its 7th Edition is a commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against The Tutsi people.
Both Abdulqodri Taiye and Kehinde from Kwara were also part of the team who have now returned back to the Country after the outing in Rwanda.
