Kwara FA Cup: Kwara United, ABS FC, KFA get First round Byes, as Tournament kicks off June 6.



The Kwara Football Academy and two other clubs who have won the Kwara Federation Cup were drawn bye in the first round of the 2022 Kwara Federation Cup draw conducted at the Kwara State  Football Association  Secretariat earlier today. 

The duo of Nigeria Professional Football league side-Kwara United Football Club and Nigeria National League Side- ABSilorin FC were also drawn bye in the first round as both sides have won the tournament in the past.

A total of 13 teams will take part in this year's edition of the tournament which is billed to kick off on Monday 6th June,2022 with 5 first round matches.

Kwara Football Academy will await the winner of the first round encounter between ASQ FC and Abraysports FC for a Quarter Final date .

The Academy won the Kwara Federation Cup in 2011 defeating Kwara United FC 2-0  and were finalist in 2015 having played a 2-2 draw with Kwara United before losing 5-4 on penalties.
