Kwara Athletics Team Captain, Musa Kola Gets Invitation For African Senior Championship




The Kwara State Athletics team Captain, Musa Kola Nurain has earlier this week been invited to the National camp of the Nigeria Athletics team in Abuja

The invitation extended to Kola Nurain was inspired by his performance at the just concluded All Comers and African Senior Championship trials organised by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria(AFN).

Musa ran a personal best of 10.35 at the trial which held recently at Yabatech in Lagos.

Nurain, with the opportunity will be keen to make the final cut of the team that will fly the Country's flag at the upcoming African Senior Championship scheduled to hold at Mauritius from 8th to 12th of June, 2022.

Reacting to the development, Coach Muritala congratulated the Skipper for his call up and urged him to make the State proud.

"It's a good thing for us in Kwara State that one of of Athletes has been invited. While I would like to wish him the best in his endeavors, I want to urge him to be a good ambassador of the State" said the Coach

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
