NLO: Magic Stars GM ectastic over unbeaten run, hails Club Chairman's commitment
The General Manager of Magic Stars FC, Isaac Oluwatobi has expressed his delight over the unbeaten run of the team after four matches in the current NLO season.
A debutant Magic Stars FC, having played all their last four games away from home has recorded three draws and a win on the road.
"I give thanks to almighty God,
Because the results has been awesome. This is our first time in NLO and also a new team with zero experience. I must say I’m very happy about the results ,it has really boosted my moral and that of the boys too" excited Isaac noted.
While the achievements appear impossible in the face of some major factors defining football in the country, Oluwatobi stated that the team, having recorded some not too good results in the pre-season went back to drawing board for a re-approachment.
"The achievement might look impossible but this is football- anything can happen. We had a not too good pre-season- played 4 games lost 3, drew 1 which opened our eyes to so many things. So, we went back to our base to make some quick adjustment and to God be glory it as really helped us"
Speaking about their next match against Gbagada FC, the helmsman who stated that they will continue to give their best maintained that the team must not be complacent and should remain focused.
"Our next game would be a very serious game because every team wants to come and win or pick a point from us the way we have been doing too- so, we need to be very very focused because it’s our first home game and the points is very important to us too. We are preparing to the best of our knowledge too". He concluded
The General Manager, who lauded the Technical crew and the players for their commitment also commended the Chairman of the Club, Mr Akanji Agboola for his support to the development of the club, assuring him that he will not be let down in his expectations.
Magic Stars FC, currently third on the table will be playing host to Gbagada FC in their first home game of the season on Saturday, 30th of April at the Nitel Field in Oshodi, Lagos. The match is billed for 4pm.
