Mokwa LG Boss, Yahaya Sheti  sponsors Ramadan Cup in Kudu



The local organising committee for the famous Alhaji MK Usman  football competiton will be staging another edition of the yearly 5- aside Ramadan Cup.

In a statement made available to the newsmen by the Secretary of the Committee, Audu Mohammed Kudu, the competition which will be sponsored by the Chairman of Mokwa Local Goverment Area of Niger State, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar Sheti will feature teams across the nooks and crannies of Kudu community. 

"This competition is mainly for all the players in kudu from different teams. The teams are expected to bear the names of all the first Eight traditional Houses that makes up kudu for the purpose of the competition" said the Secretary.

The teams includes, Zhempako FC, Emi Liman Salawu FC,Emi Majin FC, Emi Kpangi FC, Emi Bake Dzuru FC, Emi Alowo FC, Emi Tete FC and Emi Santali FC.

Mohammed added that the competition is aimed at strengthening the unity in the community and to also aid development of youth. 

He commend Honourable Yahaya Sheti, who is also vying to represent Mokwa Local government at the Niger State House of Assembly for his generousity and passion for Youth development.

Describing him as an exemplary leader, the scribe noted that the Chairman has never left any stone unturned in the development of youth and their productivity.

The competition which has started last Saturday will end on the 14th of May.

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
