Pan-Africa Club Unilorin Set To Hold Maiden Orientation Programme



All is now set for the Pan-Africa Club , University of Ilorin to organize her maiden orientation programme for members of the club.

According to the President of the Club, Yemi Sodeeq, the programme is aimed at grounding the members of the organization with the fundamental principles of Africanism ideology.

"It is imperative for us to acquaint our members with the fundamental principles, values and ideals of Africanism as an ideology, so that they will be grounded in the cause for the total liberation of Africa" the 200 level student of History and Education noted.

Yemi expressed belief that the orientation programme which coincides with the international human rights day will serve as a platform for engendering the narrative of human rights in Africa.

The President added that the programme has also find an idealogically inclined person in Laolu Ololade popularly known as Socrate as the guest speaker of the day.

With the theme of the programme 'Who is a Pan-Africanist' and sub-theme - 'Africanism: a tool for total liberation of Africa', the event is billed to hold on Friday, 10th of December at the A1 lecture room of the faculty of Arts at 3pm.

Pan-Africa Club is a non-governmental organization with aims to promote the culture,customs,traditions and ideals of Africa and Africans.
